Puncture warning, please help?

Hey Gang.
I finally got my two new tyres on the today.
After driving for about 20 minutes the screen informed me of a puncture.
I checked the tyres visually and they seemed fine.
I pulled into the servo and checked the pressure in the new tyres and they where both low, about 36psi in the rears.
I put them back up to 40psi which is what I usually run, however, the warning of the puncture is still on the display.
Do I have to get BMW service to reset my computer to clear this?
Or should it have gone away by now with the tyre pressures checked?
Any thoughts?

You can reset it on the iDrive. Can't remember exactly where. I think it's in vehicle settings and on the top you can set the tyre pressures so the the car is aware of a drop should there be one.
You have to be in park, it'll say "internalizing tyre pressure" or something along those lines. If it starts that and doesn't stop for ages turn off the ignition and back on again and it should be gone.

Ah, that's where I've been going wrong there then!
Just make sure the tyre pressures are correct before you do it otherwise you'll set it to a flat tyre.

Yep, same thing happened me.
Of course I went and paid 230 euro for a new 18" run flat before I figured out that the issue was that I needed to re-set the sensor.
Still though, no harm in having a spare around.
I think it works off 34psi rear but it says to have 29psi on the front. (based on my bar/psi conversion).
Get all the wheels correct, then initialise and then drive for a while.
It says that it's "resetting sensors" for a long time though. Then it's sorted

Once the initializing tire pressure starts, you need to drive. It might take a bit of driving for it to complete, but it will go away after completing.
