My Ride: 2008 535i Sport
Hello all. I sold my 2005 530i last month and picked up a 2008 535i with Nav, sport package + sport Auto.
I am looking to get black kidney grilles and from searching around I see that they range anywhere from $28 and up. so, my questions are:
Are pre-LCI grills the same fitment as LCI? (seems to me like they are, but wanted to double check)
Can someone recommend good quality ones?
The exterior color is Monaco Blue, should i go with Matt or Glossy grilles?
thanks!

Another question, my 05 530 had a floating redline that would slowly drop as the engine warms up. I am guessing it should be the same for this car, but it never moves. I even ran the instrument panel test and it still didn't move. is that normal or it's broken?

I hear ya! This car already had one HPFP failure in the service history. So far 2 got a couple of Engine malfunction warnings and it also idles really bad and seems to misfire on morning start ups. I am taking it in on Wednesday and will also have them fix small things here and there.

Ya I would def have that checked out,, the rough idle and the engine malfunction lights are key hpfp signs as well as the rough idle..
Yes my cars redline drops as the car warms... have that checked for sure..

The LCI cars DO NOT have the Adjusting redline like the Pre LCI cars.... No need to floor it when it s cold any how..... Give it like 15 minutes to warm up at least.
Also sounds like HPFP #3 and get your Injectors, Fuel rail, Fuel pressure sensors, and low pressure sensors checked out if you are having bad idle and long cranks. Also find out which version of the DME software you are running and the production date stamp on the inside of the driver's side door sil.
I know first hand about the N54's, just ask the other members.
