Getting ready to pull the trigger on an '08 550i on a BMW dealers lot. Having owned 2 previous bmw's and still having one in my garage I know that they all required the dealer to program personal functions like locking doors when going over 5 mph, unlocking all doors when in park etc. Do the e60 still require a lot of dealer programming or is everything done through I drive I am looking at one navigation if that matters. If the dealer has to do this can anyone point me to a list so the dealer will customize to what I want as I will make this part of the package and want to tell the dealer everything I want customized before I arrive to pick the car up.

 

Yes and No the locking and unlocking now it can be set through the I drive menu. So is pathway lighting as well as welcome lights and many other things.
