Programmable memory key gremlin??
#1
Hi All,
Although I have an M5 this isn't model specific and I'm likely going to get more traffic here.
I picked up an '08 M5 about a week ago and I'm noticing a little gremlin with the iDrive programmable memory keys. At random intervals (with my fingers nowhere near the buttons) the iDrive screen will change over to the "Programmable memory key assigned" screen for button number one. This is the same screen that pops up when a function is stored for one of the buttons.
The programming of this button isn't randomly changing or anything like that, I'm just seeing this screen pop up every once and a while. Otherwise everything appears to be working as it should.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
-Andrew

Digging up a very old topic but ironically my '08 M5 is randomly exhibiting this behavior on startup. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions?

No answer, but just wondering how you are loving that new M5 other than that? All the snow is gone, and it was a georgeous day here today, I am sure you did some bigtime driving today. Just wondered how it has been going?
