My 545i is in today for Progman 25 update to correct the CD changer issue. I was told the vehicle will be complete tomorrow, and will post here when I get it back, to verify. I'm in the US just outside of Chicago, and am keeping my fingers crossed that the service department hasn't screwed up (again) and reprogrammed with an older version, which, of course I know will not correct the problem.
What is the CD changer issue?

Now dealer says that previous software (not 25) version fixes CD issue. This can't be true. As I suspected the dealer did not install 25 yesterday but updated to the latest version prior, 24.? issued in December he said.
Your poor dealer is just a little behind. The SIB (December 2006) for v24 DOES state it fixes the CD run on. That statement, however, is in error. In later SIBs (Jan and March 07) BMW states that will not be fixed until PROGMAN 25.xx. That SIB is titled CD/CDC Track Counter Advances after Mute Selected and is #65 32 05.

Bill Jacobs in Naperville. Still waiting for clarification on the issue. You too?
I live the same area, and was planning on taking the car to Bill Jacobs to get the CD issue fixed, and some other complaints like rough idle on cold start, MP3 ( ), and anything else I can think of.

I haven't had much dealings with them... used to take my car to BMW of Orland Park, where I have received good care, but the SA's seems very unfriendly, unlike the one's at Bill Jacobs.

I might wait for Progman 25 to be release.

I would suggest waiting. It should be in a couple of weeks according to terrific Service Manager Sam Sillitti. Bill Jacobs has a great team of service advisors, especially Eric Ryan, Jason Muza and especially the very knowledgeable Tony Kripas, who drives a 550. Have personally dealt with these gentlemen and am very pleased.

Hmmm... it's just reached UK.

I wonder if they use pigeon post to get it across the Atlantic.

Or put it on a boat?

Actually, I think it is delayed for the U.S. because the need to correct all the British English spelling, e.g. colour=color, arse=ass, aluminium=aluminum, programme=program, etc.

I'm in Virginia. Dealer says they have Ver 25. Been having a problem with Auto Climate Control, fan cuts off when AC is running. Been waiting for next program to fix it. Just dropped '04 525i at dealer, he says they will load it in the morning. First 25 upgrade they've done. Hope it works, he says it will fix this problem also.

This is great news! My eyebrow and side indicator lights have been out since November.

With this in mind, will loading v25 automatically fix this light issue or is there a manual fix in addition to the software?

For example, I have yet ot have MP3 enabled and know this is an option that must be chosen from a list during the reprogram. Is there something similar for the lights?

Thanks!!!
