Thumbs up

I just had Progman 25.01 installed yesterday. One of my complaints was that the Engine Oil Level indicator screen always shows that "measurement cannot be taken at this time". It did show me how many miles to go before the next oil change.

But I can't seem to find it now. Can somebody please tell me if the Engine Oil Level indicator is still there? If so, where is it in i-drive, cause I couldn't find it.

Press down on the controller to get into the 'i" information menu. Click INFO SOURCES ... click SERVICE ... click Engine Oil Level.

For the first time since the car was new I now get readings that say "engine oil level OK" instead of "engine oil level too high." Nice.

I just ran down to my car and checked again, and I don't see the display.

Tachyon: Do you have 25.01 loaded? If not, can someone with 25.01 check and see if they can get to the oil-level display??

I've never had this indicator in my car but I've seen it in 5 series loaners. On what prod. date was it introduced and is it a combination of hardware and software? Can it be retrofitted?

As I mentioned in my original post, I used to have the display prior to loading Progman 25.01, except that it would say, "Measurement not possible at this time".

Now I can't even get the oil-level display. All I have is the screen that shows how many miles to go before an oil-change.

i thought it was only supposed to work on cars that don't have a dipstick (i.e. 530)

are you saying that its now supposed to work on 545's (which have dipsticks)?

Doesn't the electronic dipstick display only function for petrol engines which have no physical dipstick?
