So anyone with a definite solution for this? Since I'm around a metropolitan city most of my stations are saved as LOCAL2... LOCAL5.... does not matter much, but it looks bad
anyone from EU with 18 or 19 CIP installed? How is it afterwards?

BMW has a problem with those stations that provide a floating RDS text.
I hope they fix it one day...

I had the complete voicerecognition installed afterwards. So I can also use my voice to change CD's or start navigation. But untill now it was in German. Because of the fact that my car will be set as an UK car I will not get dutch menu's. It will remain in English..

My car will arrive somewhere late august / early september and i was curious if i had the voice control.
Funny detail, my current car is from Kalfsbeek
Thanks,

[/quote]I think that's the explanation (Iceman is right again ...), the floating RDS text. I was writing down the stations where I have this issue and indeed, they have this floating RDS text.
But, to come back to the Pro Radio. I'm very very sure my business radio in my previous car didnot have this issue. There I had to wait for the text I wanted to have on my display and then I had to save the name, otherwise our SkyRadio would be named something like "Jantje Smit" .
So it might be something with the two tuners in the Pro Radio. I think the iDrive can only store the name if both signals are equal for a period of time.......?????? Less then two equal signals means it is a local radio station instead of country wide station? Just guessing.......

That's the two tuners that make the difference. But it seems to be a little better with CIP 18.0. I think BMW will find the solution soon.
