Just talked to my dealer, and he had two pieces of information for me. One was a print out that said that my car was in production code 155. When he checked on the computer it said that it was in production code 170. Does anybody know what either of those codes mean?
Thanks

"155" is "Assembly finish / quality check".
If your car jumped to "170" which is "Awaiting workshop" then it has been held up for some reason. Normally it would have gone to "160" which is "Vehicle handover to Sales" and then "181" which is "Handover to distribution" after which it makes its way to the port in Bremerhaven.

[/quote]I am doing European Delivery and will pick it up in Germany. Would the 170 have something to do with that?
Is there are thread in this forum that lists all the codes?

Lomag, there are a couple of codes in this thread that aren't listed in the main FAQ (or the FAQ forum). Maybe they could be verified and added to both areas?

Ah, yes, the ED is probably the difference.
I suppose the "workshop" is like the VPC here in the U.S. where they prep your car for delivery.

The FAQ page seems to have what I think are the older status code descriptions. At least the ones on the Vehicle Status Inquiry are worded differently now.
Well, there is a FAQ page...
