Hi,

New user here looking for some advice.

I cannot open the bonnet on my 2003 530D SE.

Tried the release handle but only the right hand side of the bonnet opens. The left doesn't move at all.

I've taken the car to a non-BMW mechanic without any success.

Have any other users had a similar problem.

Will this have to go to the dealer?

Anyone know of this problem and how to resolve?

I had this problem aswell when i got my E60, i found that it was the in-car release was working fine, as the bonnet popped up, then the underbonnet hand release would not budge. It was this that was jammed, i tried for days to get it open, until i just sprayed it all with WD40 from the front and kept at the lever until it moved, it was just covered in crap, and old grease. Works good as new now, hope this helps...
