Hey Guys,

yesterday, I was driving pretty slow without my music on, I noticed several times when I went through speed bump, I heard a weird sound. I think the sound comes from the spring. and it's really annoying. I dont know how to describe the noise sounds like, but it's almost similar with the sound from opening a very very old door which has a bad corrosion . does anybody have any experience related to this?

Thanks,
Yoko.

I don't have BMW experience, but I had a Nissan Maxima which developed such a sound when the muffler was bent a bit in some unexplained way (three teenage drivers...need I say more?). It would only make the sound, just as you said, like an old door...when I went over speed bumps. Perhaps others will have better ideas.
