All of my sound (radio, warning tones, etc) is being interrupted for approximately 1 second every 5 or 6 seconds. Very annoying when listening to the radio or CDs. Has anyone had this happen? Is there an SIB to fix this? I have a 2004 530i. I am beginning to question the value of the CPO program with this and the other little problems I have had (dead battery on day 2, FTM warning day 7, brake pad replacement day 9, etc). Thanks.

I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any information available on what might be causing the sound problem? Again, it is a 2004 530i and the radio, the alarms, the voice response, etc. cuts out in a rhythmic pattern as described in the original post. Thanks to anyone who might have some insight on this problem.

Don't expect BMW Customer Relations to reply beyond what they already did. They'll likely contact you through email or the board private message function.

As far as the issue you're having, I don't recall hearing anyone else complain about that so it's likely that something isn't right. Do you have navigation? Either way, it could be the main computer (M-ASK if no navigation or CCC if navigation) or I guess it could be something simpler in the audio amplification process, etc.

I also have an '04 530 and I am having same problem with my radio. My radio cuts off or sometimes radio just loss reception after about an hour or two driving the car with a/c, and lights on. Once in a while "low oil pressure" warning shows up (oil level is ok).

Yes, I have navigation. I also started noticing a cracking noise when the radio is on. It is not as frequent as the pauses I hear, but I notice it, often when changing stations using the forward arrow on the CD player. Could be a progman update is required? Guess I need to schedule another trip to the maintenance bay! :-(

Have you taken it to the dealer to evaluate the issue? I had it in once already and they did something with MOST, whatever that is, but it did not fix the issue. I have not seen the "low oil pressure" warning lights (yet).
