My Ride: Black 2006 BMW 530i with sport and prem package, staggered 124 wheels, 50% tint, AC Schnitzer aluminum pedals, black interior w/ alum trim set, M style body kit and sound upgrade: Alpine PDX-5, PXE-H660, sub, MBQuart speakers.
I was driving the other day and noticed that every time I would go over ~85 mph a noise would sound out of the dashboard/speedometer. Very annoying and also concerning.
The only thing that I changed recently were the tires, from the Dunlop runflats to a set of brand new Continental Extreme Contact DW, but it would be very surprising if that's the reason! over inflation maybe?
Check out the video I posted of it:
Any takes?

Good Point. I believe the speed alarm is a chime similar to seatbelt chime. can't remember exactly.
+1 Air related. AND Wear your seatbelt
When i was in at service one time my SA was tied up with a CPO vehicle that had the same thing happen and they'd been trying to pin-point the issues for days. lol

Yes I also thought it was the speed alarm at first, but looked at the menu and it was off. I turned it on and it is indeed a chime, not a whistling.
Never had any issues with the windshield, don't understand why would that happen, the car has only 52K miles. If it is the windshield, do I need to reseal it?
No chance it's tire related?

You need to get in the vehicle with a few people....perferably 1 female and try to listen carefully. 2 BMW tech's an SA and owner finally figured her issue out after replacing door seals and so forth...it was coming from a mis-aligment on the drivers side front door.........tell me how that's possible on a CPO. lol. Must have been an accident in the vehicle which was undisclosed.
I mentioned female because they have a good ear for these kind of things and once they've made up their mind, its made. So chances of them shifting to another area are unlikely.
