This translates at today?s conversion rate to a mere US$122,165.00

I don?t really understand what you are saying in this thread? Are you saying that cars are expensive in Germany, or that you have had your car for a better price? Btw. Enjoy the car, you have a great spec.
Ps. I?m wondering why you reply using partly German language (not just in this thread)? Is German your native language? I like German language and mine is far from perfect. But I think it would be easier if we all used the same language (At least in same thread).

price your car on www.bmw.at and then you will get the next shock - 16% nova on a 550i. you will then have topped EUR 100,000 for a........CAR - there are people around here who buy apartments for this price....

My Ride: 520d LCI, old engine, manual, black dakota, platingrau II, standard (242?) rims.
...and in the Netherlands, Germany is considered a cheap country for cars. The tax to put it on the road for this car would be EUR 37,169. Total would have been EUR 139081. Using the current USD/EUR exchange rate of 1.42291 (www.xe.com), this car would be $197,900. So? Did you pay even less than that?

wow, pretty expensive! My co-worker in Seoul also, told me that imported cars are 3x to 4x the cost....yikes!
