My order is now cofirmed for 1st week of June.
I have been given the final order sheet, but the pricing is listed as indicative.

The base price of the vehicle (530i manual) has gone up from R437 000 to R440 000, i.e. less than 1%. This would be very nice if it would be such a small increase for the new engine, but I am doubtful.

Does anyone else have news of the price increases in other countries?

Congrats !

That is just a small increase in price, probably they're afraid that if they push the price too much people would rather get the 545i instead..

Well, remember the 545 becomes the 550 with a commensurate price increase.

In the UK, the price increase was less than that - 0.4% from memory.

Was that official or indicative pricing?

Actual increase - I had a 535d on order, cancelled and then re-ordered for a week 9 production - the difference in price was tiny (in fact it paid for the servotronic steering that was included). I seem to remember the petrol (gas, non-diesel) prices were very similar.
