Pre LCI headlight removal question

My Ride: 2009 528i xdrive
I second the belief that the inner bulbs are used for steering. Easy check. At night, pull out into your driveway, steering wheel centered. Take a look at the lights. Turn wheel full left/right. Take a look at the lights.
As for your wiring problems. WOW. There should have been a recall.
