Hi.
The previous owner of my car did some sort of butchery to the headlights, and they are just filling up with water in the top.
So I need to replace them.
They are pre-LCI Dynamix Adaptive Xenons (expensive )

If I am to spend all that money, I might as well get the LCI ones.

Can anyone run me through what's involved? Do I need a new light module?
Do I need the new ballasts, or can I use the old ones, and the other bit.. the other electrical box.. can I use the old one?

What's the situation? Googling is tough because I just find lots of people going from halogen to xenon, not really doing what I'm doing.

Nevermind. I hear I need an LM2 (£150 for a used one), plus a harness, etc.

Maybe I'll wait for some good condition pre-lci dynamic xenons to come up on eBay.

 

or you could get some lci halogens and drop in a hid kit.

 

You can find the pre-LCI xenon's easy on ebay.

LCI halogens are a step back in mine opinion.

 

amazon.com has OE Hellas. I had to buy a pair, was able to get brand new pre-LCI headlights for around 1300USD. they're available on ebay too, just inspect the wiring inside the headlight if you opt for used headlights.

Is your originally fitted with dynamic xenons or it was custom fitted? You can fit lci dynamic xenons on pre lci cars with dynamic xenons it is not a straight swap but you don't need new light module if doing front lights only. You would need new plugs and h8 led bulbs for angel eyes to avoid error message because lci uses different bulb for angel eyes but if you fit h8 led you will be fine
