First of all, you can easily specify AMG bits on your new Merc C180, as far as I'm aware.
Second, AMG's current policy seems to have one big engine and bolt it into everything. Next week, the V63 AMG, folks!
Alpina's approach is much more subtle and much more exclusive than AMG. AMG was more like Alpina 20 years ago, but they took different paths many years ago...
