Out of the blue the other day my driver's side rear window refused to go all the way down when I used the auto-down feature. I then tried to roll it down with the first position on the switch (manual) and it would only move in increments of a few inches, so I would have to press the button until it stopped, release the button, press it again, etc. until the window was all the way down. Same procedure on the way back up.

I did a few searches in the forum and found some topics that discuss how to reset the tolerances for the anti-trap feature, but they're not working. Has anybody run into and subsequently found a solution for windows that refused to cooperate? I have an appointment with the dealer but I'm tried of taking this thing in on a monthly basis, so I'd rather do the fix myself if it's a known procedure (a la the 25-second trick for smoother shifts).

If you followed the anti-trap reset procedure and it still does it, then there's likely something impeding the smooth progress of the window, you have a bad motor, or a hall sensor is faulty.
