Power Steering went out twice

Model Year: 2014
Has anyone had their power steering just go out? This happend twice in one week in slow traffic.
After car was turned off and restarted power steering was back.
Is this a known problem? My car is a 6-2004 built 545.

They may be a problem with your car. One once in a while is a glitch. Two around the same time, could mean trouble. Possibly low fluid. I would go to the dealer.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
I have had two Active Steering Failures you could still drive but the steering was slower. A Ctrl-Alt-Delete reset it both times, never happened again.

Happens when you get only a little low on ps fluid. Dealer gave me an entire can today. they said the system does not leak, but just uses fluid over ~10k miles, including evaporation.
