Default Power Steering Fluid

Hi Guys, I have a general Q about the Power steering fluid. My E60 PS reservoir says CHF11S only. About 15K ago, the $tealer changed the PS rack and the oil+banjo bolt. Now from what I have read, the CHF11S is available only from Pentosin or Febi and they both are green in color. When I checked my level of PS fluid, the color I see is nearly white with a brown/yellow shade to the oil, definitely not green. So I am wondering what oil did the $tealer use???

Can someone, share if the CHF11S comes in yellow/brown shade at all or did the $tealer used the wrong oil?

If the wrong oil was used, should I worry about it or just flush it out?

How much oil does the PS takes?

Is there any oil filter involved?

Is draining the oil from the pipe next to radiator drain plug sufficient to empty the whole system (after turning the steering with ignition on, left and right) or something else is needed to flush?

Now is seems like the general Q went into a chain of Q, sorry guys

I can only confirm that the Petosin CHF11S is green in color

I am the original owner of my E60 and can confirm that it was brownish at the time I flushed it with the green color CHF 11S. I did it last weekend at around 81,000 miles. Maybe the dealer re-used your old fluid?

You can get a can of CHF 11 S for $22 NAPA. Buy two cans and flush it again for a least another 50,000 miles and ease of mind.

Thanks E60I, when you flushed yours, did you change the reservoir as well? How did you drain the oil, suck it out from reservoir, or from the bottom hose next to radiator drain plug?

Thanks Rizbel, I already have that link from your post, good job. Do you know how much oil you used to fill up eventually.

Also, when you drain the hose next to radiator plug, and you mentioned to "With engine off, work steering wheel full clockwise and counterclockwise to evacuate old fluid from the system." is that step done with ignition on, and moving the steering wheel or manually moving something under the car. Sorry about the silly question

Also, I am not sure what is the difference between BMW standard of PS fluid 82 11 1 468 041 vs 82 11 0 148 132 vs 81 22 9 407 758 vs 83 29 0 429 576 (used by $tealer on my car). Are they same?

I didn't change the filter/reservoir because I don't really aggressively abuse my car. I thought new and fresh lubricant was all that was needed. Yes, I sucked it out with a turkey baster.

Here is good video for your reference:
