hello everybody.
i have a quick question, hopefully somebody with a greater knowledge can help me.

After reading through some posts and thread on here about what Power steering fluid to use i came to the conclusion to use Pentosin CHF 11.S. After telling them i need this, he asked if the cap says, ATF or CHF. It does indeed call for automatic Transmission fluid and not the CHF. So my question to you is.. why would they give me the DX3 when after researching pentosin is the stuff to use.

The car is a 2005 525i with a MT. (the MT doesnt matter when chosing PSF.. correct?)
my only concern is, he didnt ask what the car was. The chances of an ATF cap instead of a CHF cap on the power steering reservoir is almost next to none..?

I'd like to get some insight on this before i dump this stuff in there. The car does need it pretty bad lol

Use whatever is printed on the PS reservoir cap. Regardless of what anyone [including dealer/parts guy] says.

If it says CHF-11, use that. Otherwise, ATF.
