I've got a permanent power outlet. So, I need to make sure I don't forget anything...

It's strange that my E60 doesn't have power in the outlets when the ignition is turned off but my E46 does. Mayby there was too many dead battery issues before?

The E60 has a very inteligent system. It controls the power in the car permanently and if something is draining the battery everything else will get shut off.
My dealer installed this permanent power outlet for me, for my DVD player.
I am just getting trouble, since there are too many things in my car using the battery. I might need a second battery...

don't you think there will trouble if something happends to the car? A fire for instance? The car has this auto cut-off wires if you crash. Or mayby they can install that on the second bat. too. But I would be worried...

That's why I said they are checking if, and how. The other question, after that, would be WHERE ?
But currently my battery is almost dad, and never really gets charged up, since I currently don't drive much and it's cold.

Ok, the space issue is tough. But if they will find out a way let us know. The 545i and the diesels already have large bat. and more powerful generator. The petrol 6:s has weaker stuff. Do you know why? And mayby there is a way for you to have a larger bat.?

I'd rather try and maintain the factory weight distribution than add the electrical convenience a 2nd battery would offer.

Then you shouldn't have the comfort seats.

Well, from that point of view, I need a second battery. I have all toys, including the comfort seats, and my weight is 242lbs... Need some weight in the trunk...
