Had a good look around the inside of my car and it seams i am missing some power points. The boot (trunk) one is blanked off and there is not one in the passenger foot well
.
I appears this car has the "Smokers package - deletion" as there is two power points in place of the rear cigar lighters. Any one else with out the smokers package?

Most of the North American owners won't be of much help. We get all the power port locations gratis on our cars.
The ones I know of,
Ash try center console
passenger side foot well
center console (2x on my E61) back seat
one in trunk
I think there are a couple extra ones on E61's not sure if more or less on LCI cars....

I've got a pretty similar car to your's, again with no smokers pack. All I got in the way of power points is the one in the centre console. Nothing in the footwell, nothing in the backseats, nothing in the boot. It makes powering the toys a bit tricky. Now that the weather has improved, I'm looking to splice of the back of the power point in the dash to feed through to the passenger footwell, and also come off the battery in the boot to give 2 12v supplies back there, one for standard kit and another that will go into a 230v inverter.
Good luck with the mods, and contgrats on the new car, shame about the circumstances.

hand the 50 mpg 320 over immediately... What a daily driver that must be! Obviously I did not buy my car for the mileage but to get 50+ out of a 3 series... hell the gas savings at the pump will allow me to buy the m3 I want and use it on the weekend!
Oh sorry about the "no electric sockets"... tie into the alternator and run a extension cord back? Probably wouldn't work though.

One thing is for sure, there are not enough power points in the E60 / E61, and the one's they do have are in the wrong place, it's not any better on the F10 which is even worse, and even less storage cubbies - though it's hard to imagine how the designers could have pulled that-off.
My E61 (European spec) has one in cigarette holder near gear lever, one in the trunk and two in the rear console under the air vents, that get kicked-out every-time some-one gets in or out of the rear seats.

the rear power sockets comes only if you get the rear folding seats (in the UK atleast).
