Well i just want to start off by saying hi to everyone its been awhile since ive been here.Been away on buisness....so anyways let me just tell you guys the problem. Its started getting cold in germany again and with the cold brings new problems to my 5er. Well number one i have the creaking hat shelf and the other one is when i put the car in reverse the passenger mirror starts to tilt then all the power on the door goes out even the lights on the door for the window and door handle.then i put it in park and the lights come on but the mirror stays stuck in the middle!I think im going to try and take it in tommorow but who knows...i want to get it taken care of soon so if anyone else has experienced this please let me know so i can go there with some ammo because we all know we have to do everything but the actual fixing, atleast BMW takes care of that!.... <_<

Sorry to read your problems. I hope this will be an easy fix. They will probably hook you up with a software update and check the electrical system. So far Auto Schaal has been real kind to me. Good luck and I hope the best for you.

That mirror thing looks like it is set to tilt down for viewing the curb when parallel parking. RTFM should cure that one. Nothing wrong with the mirror.

Okay if he was describing everything that lost power. But if he was talking about a problem with the mirror going down . . .

That was what I read into it. Sorry if I was wrong. It sounds like a wiring problem to the door area.
