After a couple of miles I came next to him in traffic and guess what I notice, IT WAS A NEW M5!!? ? but as we all know thats not possible yet and low and behold he only two exausts, no side grill, no M-tech kit, no NOTHING except for an actual M5 badge on the back.? He also had chrome sides with black front grill, so it wasn't a 545i nor a sport model but he had the nerve to put an M5 badge on it.?
I had respect for him until I realized all this ? but then as I passed I truely felt embarresed by his tackyness.? It makes me really wonder that if he's really insecure about himself that he has to put a M5 badge while he cannot afford something even close.? ? :bashwall:
I read an article recently in BMW CAR Magazine (UK) that Alpina makes a B7, special order only.

That was my well hard cousin Vinny, He's a really nice guy but sometimes he can crack, just like that especially when people laugh at his M5. Hope he didn't get your licence plate.

I hate that! I see that with AMG badges all the time, but in all honesty, neither AMG or AUDI "S" have the same respect as an ///M car. Sure some of the models are phenominal and pretty damn amazing at their stats, looks, and sheer power, but nothing has the prestige factor, and overall image of a BEAST as an ///M car... Thats why it bothers me. The worst is I always see a blue honda; painted laguna seca blue from the ///M3, in a parking lot at a favortie eatery. The guy must work there because I see it every time I go which isnt too many times. He has M3 side grills, quad exhaust, M3 badges and obviously an M3 color. Why?
Oh wait wait, I also seen him have M3 mats too, lol Had to look inside... it was so pathetic it kind of attracted you for some more laughs!
I too just saw a Black 740 with an M badge. I gotta believe a poser as well  There is no true M in the E32 or E38 chassis as far as I know. I could not get along side to see any other badging or defacements. I love those series but they don't need fake badging to make them more appealing

Anyone who would badge a non-M car with an M badge needs to be drug out into the street and shot like a lame horse.
It's that simple.
