My Ride: 525d LCI - xenon, tv function, grey dakota leather, titanium silver,244 radial spokes.
The cigratte touched the A pillar and burned a small whole thru the cloth... any idea how i can cover it up? its quite small but pisses me off coz its right in front of my eyes all the time...tried using a stain remover and got the black spot reduced but cant find a solution to cover the burnt cloth.
Was thinking abt using a grey marker pen on it since my interiors are grey

I am a smoker of both cigarettes and cigars and smoke in mine- but in moderation. And I never use the ashtray or cigarette lighter.
I don't care if anyone wants to smoke, wants to kill themselves, drive without a seat belt, do drugs, whatever. But if you are going to do it, at least keep it in your car and don't pollute the streets.
Sorry, but this really struck a nerve...

Oh, boy, here we go. You smoke in your car, but won't use your ashtray? hmmm why is that? becuase it smells too bad or because it makes your car look like sh!t? If you won't use your ashtray, then what happens to your cigarette butts? I sure as hell hope you eat them, becuase if you say you flick them out the window you are asking for it. More than once I have had the incredible urge to go up to someone at a stop light who flicks their butt out the window, pick it up, and extinguish it on the side of their car. What do smokers think happens to those cigarettes they throw out the window? they aren't organic. They aren't water-based. They don't disappear. Someone else either has to pick them up or look at them when they are trying to take a family walk or exercise on the sidewalk.

Sorry if you misunderstood me, I don't use an ashtray but I don't throw out my butts, I always carry an empty soft drink bottle and put them in there and I agree with you that it's careless flicking out your butts out the window, it infuriates me when I see another driver do it. I respect the environment.

Excellent! Smoke away then, my friend. I apologize for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

Also, if you were out on a date, would you let them smoke in your E60?

A great mystery of life...why does anyone start smoking? I understand that it is VERY difficult to stop...which is seperate issue. But I'll never understand why people ever start in the first place?
