My Ride: In the process of buying the right 2006 530i
I have read the debate on this forum regarding AWD and RWD; very informative. I have a great deal of respect for the posters on this forum and their knowledge. I was curious, knowing what you know now, if you were buying now, what would you buy? XI(AWD) or I(RWD)?

My Ride: 2005 545i with Sport Pkg, Nav, HUD, Cold Weather Pkg, Rear Shades
I amnot sure I want to pay a few thousand $ extra for the AWD, since the RWD is just fine (even in snow witha good set of winter tires)

Living in Southern California. Buying a Xi is a waste of money for me.

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
I would only get AWD if RWD isn't available on that car, for example on a 911 Turbo, Gallardo, Lancer EVO, etc.

RWD... since I'm from CA and will never need 4WD and for going to the mtns I'll be driving somthing else more capable...
