I live in West and work in East (pretty much near the op) and I have to agree with others - UK police don't give a fuck what u drive let alone taking pictures. They have plenty of proper Ms at the station. No offence to the OP but I just don't think this happened the way you describe it. Sorry

It sounds like 5 rabid, teen girls jumping out of a fan-wagon to see Leonardo DiCaprio in the driver's seat at a stop light so they all grab their pocket Kodak cameras, (which they just so happen to have handy), and start taking pictures of your car while rimjobbing a 16-18 yr old for his autograph?

Don't be surprised if one day your car is gone from your drive way! Prob have all your info and every angle of your car now. No easier way grabbing all the info than dressing up as 'nice' cops.
