My Ride: 525i 04 BLK on BLK

I have E60 525i 2004.

I just bought a new set of M6 replica rims.
Front 8.5
Rear 9.5

Now i got a BIG problem. I cant decide what tires should i put.
I read the forum from A-Z ) ( I LOVE IT ) The best FORUM EVER (thank you guys)
So yea, most of the people saying that 245/35/19 (F) 275/30/19 (R) will fit the BEST
I know my self its the best set to put on E60 19" ( i guess M5 standard like that )
But the problem i wont lower my car(Chicago roads sucks), so i think with this set of tires it will look weird(

So i decide to buy 225/40/19 (F) 265/35/19 (R) But the is a big BUT ( i only looking for ALL-season ) and no body have
that set (tirerack, discounttires) i mean i researches it and most BRANDS dont even make that size ALL-season.

I realy want to get CONTINENTAL DWS (grear review and cheap)

So the only size is available and not on BACK ORDER (all-season) is:
(F) 225-40-19
(R) 275-35-19

SO PLEASE, IF YOU GUY HAVE ANY INFO OR ANY PICTURES HOW IT WILL LOOK, post it.

I WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED!!!

35's in the rear look like shit. i know because i have 35's in the rear. freaking meaty rubber makes your wheels look like 17's especially if you have a lip on them. but it does give you more cushion when going over potholes and such.

and i think 225's in the front on a 8.5 will be slightly stretched. not too sure about 40's in the front.
good luck

225/40 is fine. 225/25.4 = 8.86 inches. U would be stretching.

225*0.40 = 90/25.4 = 3.54 inches. 275*0.35 = 96.25/25.4 = 3.79 inches. That's fine. It's NOT too bad. I am assuming you DONT have AWD.

I'm running a 285/30/19 n the rear with no rubbing. It's not lowered but I have the sport suspension.

The recommended tolerance on tyre diameter when changing to a different size is -3% to +2%.The front size is within that range but the rear 275/35R19 is not,you will be 4.3% larger in diameter than the standard fitment 275/30R19.

I have no clue what you are tlaking about here-why not get the 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 in the conti dws (this is exactly what I have)-Personally I find the 275/30/19 just a bit less sidewall and enough where it is smaller than the front sidewall-the 285's are perfect.

a 225/40/19 is almost the same as a 245/35 anyway?? You multiple the middle number which is the percent by the first number, the diameter of the tire and you get the sidewall height-they are within 4mm-why would you not just get the 245

Plus with the 225 they will be set further in the wheel well and not be as flush (10mm) less flush with the fender. Same for the rear-will sit less flush and inside, more than they already do-this will honestly look terrible.

Get the above specs, the 285s are nice as they also stick a bit further out making it near flush with the fender and that is without spacers

I do not understand some people-this post makes no sense and yet he is able to drive on the road amonst us-scary
