I recently had my friends 2006 525i come to me for a misfire code. Checked it out, and cyl #5 was the misfire. I replaced the one coil along with new spark plugs. And also changed the air filter. Within two days she told me the overheating warning came on. I checked it out and the fan was coming on constantly, and there was no heat from vents with the temp on fully max. I went and changed out her thermostat along with the electric water pump because from what I read they tend to go bad a lot. She has 60,000 miles and all threads I read people had around the same.
After installing the new parts I did the bleeding procedure which was fill coolant to proper level, turn ignition on, set temp to max and fan speed to lowest, hold down gas pedal for about 10-12 sec until I heard the coolant flowing and wait about 12 minutes to let it bleed. Started car and it doesn't seem to be over heating. But the air still isn't hot. I am trying to bleed it as I am waiting for the 2nd bleeding procedure to finish. Anyone have any thoughts ?
