My neighbor/friend Ken just brought his new E300 home . His family keeps looking at it and it makes me look at it too! No offense to y'all but for me, it makes the 5er look cheap. Please convince me that the 5er is not just a sporty sedan but a classy sport sedan since I am gonna order my 530i within this month .

Follow your heart, personally I find the E60 ooozes classy good looks whilst retaining a sporty undertone, but hey, each to their own, test drive both and decide which you like more is my advice.

E300? Palease... Forget about it. That thing might have some old mans luxury look to it that may impress some... But check this out... That thing is reaches 0-60 in like 7 seconds. It's not sporty what so ever. And personally... I only like the S class 550 and the 65 and 63 AMG's. E classes look like crap IMO

You really gotta go with your gut on this one, man. You're driving it, not us.
I personally would take my 535 over a similarly priced E350, and with a $600 chip, I would lay waste to an E550. I noticed the interior on a BMW does feel cheap, atleast the dashboad stuff, but honestly, the real fun is in driving it. If you're worried about what others will think of you, just remember that people still respect BMW as a whole without actually knowing what really goes on and in to making the car that is what really deserves the respect.
If you're looking for the luxurious amenities and that's it, a BMW is probably not what you should go for to get the absolute best in that. If you want to get your blood pumping, then definitely get a BMW. I know when I came home from school for a week before I had to head back, I would wake up, get in the car, and drive around the neighborhood and mini-highway near my house just to get the blood flowing. I remember a few years back, it was probably an E39 5er commercial, where the narrator says something along the lines of "the doctor recommends that you increase your heartrate for 40 mins. every day" and then they show the 5er making its way through the windy roads. That's honestly how I feel in my stock 535, I can't imagine hearing the car go uphill on the hills around my neighborhood and pulling me up effortlessly with a JB3.

The new E class classy? Thing looks like a Hyundai Sonata and I don't know if you've been in the new MBs but the feel inside is rather cheap and plain (at least for me). Even the e60 with a 6 year design still doesn't look outdated!

My Ride: See my signature
A Mercedes E is a very different animal than the 5 Series -- far, far less sporty in appearance, suspension and in drivng. It's a matter of personal taste and I'd test drive one if you want to see the contrast to the 5 Series.

Get the 530. Then his family will be over looking at your car.
