I?ve tried creating some CD?s with MP3s on to listen to in the car, but I cant get them to work.

I?ve tried both the in dash CD and also the Sat Nav DVD drive. I keep getting the message ?No supported or readable media found in the internal drive?.

Anyone else experienced this or has any ideas??

I have an E61 525D M Sport 2005 with the Business Nav Option.

Cheers

Cheers for that.

Do you know how much it might cost?

Is that all I get, or is it part of a package or something?

Your CD-ROM must be burned in ISO 9660:1999 file format.

Just go to your dealer and ask to ENABLE mp3 playback. Shouldn't cost you anything as there is a SIB on this.

No, it will going to cost couple hundred dollars depends on the dealer if your car is out of warranty.
However, if your dealer is super nice, they might do it under 'good will repair'.
SIB doesn't mean it will be free. SIBs are free only while your under warranty.
What's free of charge even after the warranty period would be recalls.

Well, yes, I assumed it was still under warranty as it is 2005.

OK your points taken. I was telling it because he stated that he has 525D meaning disel engine which
BMWNA never imported to US. Also that means he lives outside of US which warranty is a lot shorter than
people in US.

the coding should be less than 30 minutes. so try to calculate that as labor hour. At most charge 1 hour. Or try to find a friend who works inside and give him a little something.

well, Mine is the best. It doesn't even say " unsupported disk or whatever" It just greys the CD or DVD out and start playing the radio or changer.
