Hi everybody!
I found this DVD changer in Germany.
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...bayphotohosting
I translate it, and the most important thing, that
this DVD changer (part no: 6 937 348 or 6 933 964) cant buy in BMW dealer YET !!
But it is original BMW part, for all e60,e61, you can PLAY DVDs,
and you can control with IDRIVE menu!
For all e60 with nav!
Have somebody more info about this??

I read the advertisement. It looks okay but I doubt you can watch dvds on your bordmonitor. If I were you I wouldn't do it.

That's probably the unit that mounts in the little compartment inside the trunk on the left side and is part of the rear seat entertainment package...
It's an interesting find but I can't say it would work without software upgrades, etc.

There may already be wiring ready for the unit since I think BMW is supposed to offer it as an accessory sometime in the future. If so, it should be an easy install physically but the programming that's likely wouldn't be a diy...

One thing that you NEED is: CCC!
No nav (pro), no DVD on the CID! The CCC is required to get RGB signals for the CID. If you don't have it you need a complete module, that overrides the CID!
The DVD changer for the E60 will come with the rear entertainment package.

Dear Mr. 530E60NL: I remember when you first joined last year, you had just gotten out of a bit of a sticky wicket involving a truck. I also remember that you tend to live/work/eat in your car. Now that you will have a mini movie theatre in your car, might I recommend the E60 popcorn popper recently seen on e60accessories.org? No, I'm sorry, but my main point is please be careful!! We want to keep you around...seriously!
Respectfully,
Sam
