I have a 04 525 and today I notice a crack on my wood trim starting from the vent going out about 6 inches. Has anyone else ever experienced this? This should be covered by the dealer right??? There was no impact to cause that Thanks!!

It didn't happen to me. You should immediately go to your dealer and tell them that. When did that happen?

I just noticed it today, it must have happened earlier in the day when I was adjusting my vents I guess

Is that because your car isn't the same age?

Crack? Is it in the PUR or in the actual wood veneer?

could you please take a picture of the crack...
seems very unusual .....

probably a manufacture fault... either way the dealer should handle it...

You have wood veneer in your e60?

The only "organic experience" my dark poplar trim has had is an encounter with crude oil when being made into plastic.

Believe it or not but there actually is a sliver of wood in there.

Wood veneer over plastic piece.

Veneer has a polyurethene type plastic finish on its face.

Looks and feels like plastic, but its real wood.
