Three weeks ago I replaced the dunlop runflats, which had 6,200 miles on them, with the Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S. Second best move i've made this year...best was deciding on the 545 over the E500. The night and day difference is amazing. The Pirellis are much quieter and the all-season traction is enough to get me by the NY winters. We've had a few dustings here in N.Y. and the traction has been superb. If anyone out there is contemplating upgrading there tires the Pirellis are the way to go. BTW they are very affordable as well. Just my .02.

Did you ask the dealer to replace them or did you have to pay out-of-pocket? I know another member here had the dealer replace his Dunlop's.

I am going to have my dealer replace the OE runflat's with non-runflats before I agree to sign for the lease. That's my plan anyway.

Leonard.

Unfortunately I paid for the Pirellis. I heard of a few E60 owners having their tires replaced with the Bridgestone runflats though. Even if the Bridgestones are better that the OEM Dunlops I think the Pirellis are superior to both. Only downside is getting a flat tire but then again that's what we have the Roadside assistance for

I'm in the US and yes I do have a spare. Unfortunately it's not a full size spare. It doesn't look like the space provided for the spare would fit a full size. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the tip. I am planning on replacing my Dunlops soon. I will keep them to return on car at end of lease. I have 11,000 miles and they are absolutely roaring. It feels like the wheels are going to wobble right off the car. Especially when braking. They were fine for the first 10,000. Dealer has been absolutely no help.

I have been trying to decide between the Pirellis (less $$) and the Michelins (more $$)

This is my 5th BMW and this is the worst choice for stock tires the company has ever made!!! I guess they only tested them up to 10K miles ?!?

I have 18K miles on my car and ready to replace my Dunlops. I'm leaning towards the Michellen PS2 tires. I've heard many good things about these tires. IF the Pirellis are as good for less $$$, I may have to consider them.

I was contemplating getting the Michelin PS2 as well. The customer svce rep agreed with me that with the Michelins you are indeed paying for the name. I've been running the Pirellis for a few weeks and as stated in my earlier post I'm quite pleased. We're expecting 6-10" of snow here in NY tomorrow. I won't be driving during the storm but I plan on driving after the streets are plowed. I'll update then.
