Default Pictures of my engine bay with some new additions
I have been putting some time in under the hood of my E61 with various projects, the last was a revision to my intake system.

Here is what it looks like now, a little different from stock!

Looks good.

Hot air above/surrounding the exhaust manifold is sucked in to that air filter, right?

I have taken some steps to minimize the amount of heat around the filter. First I rearranged the heat shielding to act as a partition between the inlet and the manifolds. Then I built some aluminum scoops to help direct cold (outside) air to that side of the engine bay.
