Just got my camera back and took some pictures of my 550i. Took a close up of the front showing the Night Vision camera and the Active Cruise Control radar unit in the front grill.

Sorry about the picture that came out rotated. Don't know why - when I open the picture on my computer it is correct.

Nice ride, congrats!

Are you happy with the active cruise control? Thinking of getting it on my next one.

A loaded one, a Hardrock Halleluja!

I hope we can read more about your experiences with the ACC.

Some pics of the NVC availble?

Nice car, but I can't say I'm a fan of the Bamboo trim. I prefer the burled walnut look, myself.

Have only used the ACC a couple of times and it works pretty well. You set the speed and then control the distance using 4 pre-set distance positions. It obviously isn't well suited for very high traffic highway situations with cars continually changing lanes, but worked very well when I had it on a section of highway outside of the city. I played with the distance control and the car automatically sped up or slowed depending on the distance setting relative to the car in front of me. I would think for long highway trips it would be great for someone who typically uses cruise control.

I don't think the pictures are complimentary to the Anthracite wood trim. It doesn't look nearly as light in real life as it shows in the pictures. The burled walnut look is really nice, but I had it in my last 3 cars and was looking for something different.

It is very difficult to take the "advertising" pictures.

Looks very nice, thou

Awsome car!

Is it possible to use the ACC as a regular Cruice control, without the active part ?
