I think people in the UK have different taste, on the higher priced cars we tend to think they look nicer with stock wheels. The only people that change threr alloys on cars in the UK are "boy racers". Which are people which have very rubbish cars and put big alloys on them. Its just a difference of taste between the UK and USA. I think they look nice, but in my opinion you cant beat the stock wheels

The stock wheels are, well.....stock. Anyone with a few extra $$$ in So. Cal will add a bit of bling to their ride.

Where'd you get the rims? cost? installer? Size/offset?

BBS top of the line racing wheels = blingange?!?!?? Shows how much you know... If they were solid chrome or spinners, I would agree with you. Maybe its time you come out of the closet with a remark like that...

How is the ride compared with the 124's? As Wolverine mentioned, are you seeing the perf increase as a result of the decrease in unsprung weight?

Although I love the looks of the wheel/tire setup, I know not all agree... The ride has suffered at high speeds. I am positive that one or both of the fronts are out of balance and one may have a bad radial as I am experiencing a right pull...

Because of this I have not really tested the performance characteristcs of the setup. At lower speeds and in corners, the car feels more nimble and responsive. This may just be the effect of the lower profile tires though.

Did you get your wheels/tires from tirerack?? They have always done a great job for me. For that price, whoever you got them from, mounting and balancing should be perfect.

What do you all think?

Hate saying this, but I think the 18" design looks nicer but the 20" fill the arches better. I think the 20" wheels are, how you say, airy or gappy. Needs more metal in the design.

I always think the less sidewall the more it accentuates the "gap" between the tire and wheelwell. I think with the 20" needs more lowering. I think its the proportion of rubber to gap that creates the illusion of "not" filling the wheel wells.
