Thanks for posting

Great pics!

PS.
A M-Sport with M5 rims is absolutely the best looking option!
I suppose you have 245/35 and 285/30 19 tyres?
All in all the car looks simply fantastic with its chrome grills etc.!
Thanks!

I actually have 275s on the back, which is the same size tyre you get fitted from the factory if you opt for the 172s.
The matt black grills with the carbon black was a no-go for me, and find the chrome grills are a much better match

I also have retrofit but OEM chrome grilles!

285 rear tyres seem to be the latest on what the rears should be
The ratio doesn't change much but the beefy look improves somewhat.

I went for the OEM grills as well -- mainly because I was too lazy to fit them myself and asked BMW to do it at the next service

As for the tyres, because the M166s are not approved for the normal E60, but only the M5 E60, in Germany you need to get the wheels formally checked by the German Authorities (T?V) and entered into the cars paper work. I therefore went for the same tyre size as the normal E60 19 inch rims, to keep them as close to standard as possible and avoid any problems getting them approved by T?V. Otherwise I probably would have also gone for the beefier look! (The same process also applies to putting spacers on the car, which is also a nice touch when fitting these rims to the E60.)

Hah-haa, I baught my chrome grills with BMW Club rebate + some benefit coupongs I recieved from the local BMW dealer,
and then gave them to the sales guy and told them to put them on before delivery...

The TYV is OK, but you didn't need spacers etc for the M5 wheels, did you?

I'm not sure that the spacers are good for nothing else than looks...

Spacers are not required for M166s on the E60. As you wrote above, it would have only been for the looks.
