Here she is: Details on my new signature.
How does this compare to the old 525d - I presume this is the new 525d with the 3.0d engine? I pick up my new 525d M Sport tomorrow. How did you manage to spec it with 166 wheels, thought they were only for the M5?

Palmo. This is my new 525d but it is actually an older model than my previous car. This is a 54 plate whereas my grey on was an 05 plate. So no, it has the 2.5 litre engine.
I did not spec it with the 166 wheels. I bought these afterwards. They are OEM 166 wheels; got them off Ebay, including the tyres. Had to buy the space saver wheel and jack lifting kit separately at c.?200.

My mate has the 19" 172 alloys like yours, so I wanted to go a bit different and chose the 166 alloys. Before I fitted them I thought I liked the 172's more. But now I prefer my 166's. I actually think they look better with the lower profile tyres than the M5 profile. (an original M5 uses 40 and 35 profile tyres; this has 35 and 30).

Palmo - are you going to fit some sort of tuning kit ? My mate has The tuning box on his 525d......it makes a big difference. I'll be getting this soon too.

Must admit the 166's do look good, but not much in it for me between them and the 172's - both excellent looking wheels IMHO.

Regarding tuning, this is something I may be interested in, in the future, but not at the moment. Don't want to do anything to invalidate my warranty - my car is now only 1 week old - see here http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=39368
