I received my 124's a few weeks ago, and just had my M-tech kit installed this past week. The 124's are a staggered setup - 8x18 ET:43 in the front and 9x18 ET:55 in the rear (just as realoem.com indicates). I put BF Goodrich g-force T/A KDW NT's on - they seem to perform real well, but I think the tread pattern is a little goofy looking. I suppose the performance is more important .

Thanks to Tony (quad_m) for supplying both the wheels and m-tech, and thanks to cmansbimmer for great advice on the wheels.

Regarding the M-tech kit - the dramatic change in the look with the front bumper is obvious; what I was (pleasantly) surprised with was how much of a difference the side skirts make. The flared look really stands out in person, much more than is evident in pictures. The rear, honestly, I can take it or leave it. I kinda like the flared lip on the bottom of the stock rear bumper, and think it would actually fit pretty well with the sides. The body shop is still painting the front license plate holder, so I'll have that installed next week - for now, I'm enjoying the look of the clean front.

So, here are some pics, including one with my DVD player installed in the rear. I also included a close-up of the wheels, so folks could see the difference in the "depth" between a "normal" 124 and the one for the xi models. Sorry, the lighting is not so great - I have a nice digital SLR, but the user is not so photo-savvy .

It looks good, always liked the 124 wheels. How does it ride/handle now with the staggered setup? Does it feel different on the highway now?
The ride and handling are just awesome. I thought the car handled pretty well before, but the improvement through turns and corners is incredible - and with surprisingly little sacrifice in comfort. Overall, it just seems a lot more stable in every way.

And, yes, I am really happy with the 124's - I think it dresses up the car nicely, in a subtle way. Even more so once those 535's with sport start showing up on the road. I strongly considered the 135m's, but decided they would be a little too tough to keep clean.

Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks - those look much better. In fact, I went into my iPhoto and brightened them all up, and attached them here (I tried to edit my original post, but was unable to):

Good to hear, are you planning to swap out the wheels in the winter? How do you think the staggered setup will handle the rain or snow? I assume living in Denver that you ski? Appreciate the feedback.
