I took these pics this a.m.

Not too good due to the lighting. Tomorrow morning, I'll call take a few more.
The new vents look really nice.
I'm not sure what software I have but my dealer did say it was the latest. I do have bird's eye view on the Nav which I love.

Is there a way to find out which software I have? If so, I'll check it for you.

CONGRATS!!? Beautiful!

Do you have some ineterior pics (especially the new vents).? Also, can you check what software version you have.

Thanks.

[quote name='Asahi' date='Apr 9 2005, 03:32 PM']Yes...I played a mp3 CD-R yesterday on the way home from the dealer.? It would play in the single cd player in the dash but not in the 6 cd changer.? Strange.? I'll try it again to see if it works

Did you get a 545i?? You are going to love this car.

[quote name='FikseGTS' date='Apr 9 2005, 02:10 PM']I think thats the same day mine was completed....? must have been on a different? boat....? my boat is arriving in SC today....? does yours play mp3's in the in dash cd player?

It was completed on March 17, 2005. St. Patricks Day. It's strange but I found an empty beer bottle in the glove compartment???

Just got back from a quick ride. I love the tiptronic. Shifts amazingly well and what a ride! So smooth. I've driven a number of cars over the last few years trying to find the right car and have owned a 04 V8 VW Toureg, MB E320 and Audi S4 and have driven the new A6, new GS430 and the Infiniti M45. None of them drives like this car. There is just something special about BMWs. They truly are the ultimate driving machine. I'm so glad I got past my initial bad impressions on the E60 design. I love it now!

Oh yes....the birds eye nav rocks!!!

Hi all...
Well, the dealer calls last night and tells me that my 545i has arrived early.? I head on down to pick it in a torrential downpour and see it sitting outside.? What a beauty.? I got a

2005 545i
Titanium Silver
Black Leather interior
Cold weather package
Sport package
Premium package
Sirrus Sat
Navigation

I traded in my 2004 S4 for her and gave my wife our 04 E320.? ? The 545 drives great.? Having a bit of a problem figuring out how to use the Sirrus and still see the Nav map at the same time.? I guess I'm going to have to learn the voice commands pronto.?

We hooked up my Motorola V600 cell to the Bluetooth in seconds.? No problem there.

It's a nice sunny day so I'm going to clean her up and go out for a drive.?

I'll post more once I put a few miles on her. Thanks to all of you for the advice and information over the last few months.

Thanks for the nice compliment. Yep, it's very quiet and peaceful and the neighbors are not on top of you. Nice to have a bit of room. I like Hong Kong as well. I went there a couple of times when I lived in Osaka, Japan for 7 years.

I'm really starting to enjoy this car. I drove my wife's 2004 MB E320 to get it washed today and it was like driving a K car. Slow, bad spongy brakes and felt like it was falling around a corner at any speed. I think I'm going to like this 545!

Ruthenium inserts, instead of pure plastic.

Yep, my car has the Ruthenium silver inserts. Looks really sharp. I'll try to take a better pic today after I wash my car.
