[/quote]I didn't get that option myself but somone I know with an E60 picked it. He said they were halogen (or the salesman told him they were. What do they KNOW!!!). I didn't see them in operation in the dark, but in daylight there was a blue-ish glow from underneath the mirror. I don't recollect the lights in the lower door being any different to mine, so I presumed the mirror was halogen and the doors the standard bulbs. Next time I see him I'll check it out.

The white lights only turn on when I use my remote to open the door. As for the 3 series, I did see people driving them around in the ED center. So it is in production for sure. Don't know if they are start selling them or not yet.
