oh wow - what a beauty!!!

first pic looks stunning - Aggresive with a Powerful stance!

how does she drive?
Thanks, drives great, being manual has the extra power and fuel economy from an auto, I had an e39 530d manual before, what a major improvement the E60 is in all aspects.

This weekend I did a 400 mile round trip, driving mostly at 80-85mph motorway with the odd push to 100-110mph, I made 46.5 mpg, I was very impressed, the alluminum front must be making the difference here.

Totally agree on Auburn! The dealer told me Auburn was not available in the USA with Titanium so I chose the Mystic Blue which also looks fantastic withe the leather- everyone who looks at the car comments on the combination- I guess there's alot of people tired of black, grey and tan...

Well done!
Tajaro, can you post some pics of your car, I am curious to see how auburn goes with the blue

Auburn leather is the BEST!! I have silver grey with auburn--in the US you can get auburn leather with any exterior color--it just is not offered as "standard" combinations. If you custom build your car, you can get whatever exterior/interior combo you want.
Its a shame you guys cant have that in the US, here in the uk on the 5er cataloge you get at the dealer they actually class the titanium silver with auburn as perfect match.
I think people are just a bit scared of making the choice as apart from my car I never saw another auburn in the uk, and I was the first auburn customer for my salesguy.

Nice. Have you compared before buying the 530d with the 530i mainly in terms of performance? Advantages/disadvantages of the two?

Yes, my criteria was, fuel economy is better on the diesel, engine will make more miles with less problems, less revs on the diesel means better engine lifetime, performance is very similar in acceleration and top speed, and diesel has the torque that is similar to an M5 (almost).

And the technology today makes diesels less noisy and less smelly, if you were to sit inside my car with the windows closed and the engine one would be difficult to say it was a diesel.

want to find out how diesel/petrol engines work check this great site, howstuffworks.com
