Hi all,

I have a 5/2008 525iA LCI with navi prof. When I use the navi in Finland it always gives a very long driving time, about 30% too long time for. We have speed limits 50 km/h in cities, 80/100 km/h outside urban areas and 120 km/h on highways. I have compared BMW navi with portable navi that has the same digital maps as database and the arrival time estimates are much more accurate. I do not exceed the limits too much due to extremely high speeding ticket rates, so the difference shouldn't be due to my driving habits.

I just rented a 120d Cabrio for three weeks in Germany/Austria and there the navi was very accurate also in terms of time calculation.

Now the question: is there a possibility to calibrate the time calculation of navi? The dealer didn't have answer, they promised to ask BMW, but it would help if somebody already knows...

Best regards from Finland,

Jukka

Ps. 3180 kms with 120d Cabrio, average speed 63km/h and average fuel consumption 6,0 l/100 km - a nice experience
