We have two remote keys for our 2007 530i sedan. They seem to work normally and each remembers our individual lock/unlock preferences. However, I expected them to also remember our confirmation preferences. My wife wants acoustic (beep) and I want silence with lock/unlock. Instead, the car always executes the last instruction we specified with IDrive - for both remotes. Can anyone confirm whether or not lock/unlock confirmations should be specific to each remote?? Thanks for any assistance.

Don't believe lock/unlock confirmations are keyfob specific.

No problem ... Always happy to help.

Several features of your BMW can be recalled specific to a key fob. You may located those specific features along with instructions in the owner's manual BMW thoughtfully provided to the original owner. If you do not have the original owner's manual, you may easily download a copy, specific to your year, from the information section of this forum. I've taken a few minutes to provide a sample page from my manual that highlights the information you weren't familiar with.

Most features can be custom assigned to individual key fobs

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me. I do have the original manual which I've read many times. Unfortunately, the page you presented says the lock/unlock personal preferences can be saved, which ours do. The manual is silent on the question of whether the "confirmation" preference can be saved specific to each remote ie whether the preference to chirp or not with lock/unlock is saved. That is the question I hope to get a definitive answer to. Thanks again.
