I promised a good friend of mine that I'd save my first launch for when he's around. Both of us are pretty busy and it's taken way longer to get us both together so the other day, when a forum member was having trouble launching, I set everything up to launch from a traffic light when nobody was around so I could confirm that it worked the way I envisioned. I didn't have enough room to run it to second gear (not even enough room to do anything, really) so I just launched it until the clutch engaged (and boy did it engage!) but had to back off almost immediately.

Man, that thing wanted to fly!

Just wait until you can get it to shift into 2nd... It shifts very hard (quickly).
I'm curious to hear your opinion once you have tried it.

I am not aware of a limit in the amount of times you can use Launch Assistant. It only says that extended use will increase component wear. I think its a rhetorical statement. If you make sharp turns, it will increase tire wear. If you stop quickely, it will increase brake wear.
Also, I'm sure those of you with 525/530 SMG will certainly be able to spin your wheels.
