Hi

Nice way to start the year Jan 1st! Being a family guy I do drive safely, so heres the deal, in Auckland NZ everyone clears out over the new year (it's summer in the southern hemiphere) so there are next to no cars anywhere, midday, sunny, so I wiz on to the main two lane road near my house, and I just got nailed.

Oh well, my fault! (going 68kph should be doing 50, big main road though!)

Hey man, sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, a buddy of mine got fined 32 thousand euros (!!!) in Finland for speeding. Apparently, over there the fines are determined based on how much your income is. He had the audacity to have a high one, I'm guessing ))

thats a pity indeed! I heard of these sprays you can spray the number plate with so that your lisence plate wont resemble itself correctly. Dont know if they work but I've seen them online somewhere a long time ago... I just dont need any of this so I havent bothered to look into it...

I saw something about this on a show called 'Mythbusters' on Discovery channel (I only say this incase you are in a region that does not get this show) about all the ways to get past the speed camera. None work, some distort the image slightly, but you have to believe that in all the money spent on R&D for these camera systems that they took elusion tactics into consideration.
