Actually I am not sure where you are going with all this. Are you trying to say that dave bought a car thats NOT an official GTS and one that looks like a GTS? just reading all this makes me more confused especially since I dislike all 911s and hence never ever bothered to read up on porsche products.

So is Dave's car a GTS or not? can someone please help me with a simple YES or NO.

thanks
cheers

No. He did not buy a GTS, as he first claimed he had, and it was the fact that it was 2007 model year that first alerted me to the possible error. Hence the ensuing debate... Which was really not all that hard to follow.

GTS or not, he still has a great SUV in the S.

yep, as said i jumped in to quickly.
my car is a S model, with the 20" GTS alloys and the GTS air suspension.
i sold my 530 on ebay it went after only 3 days (dam ebay fees)
and bought the new car via auction, i tried to buy one from a guy in bradford via ebay, but he had sold that one (black...my first choice colour) he then put me on to the grey one i bought (it was pulled from the auction (so no fees) and we did the deal.

cars are selling...but everyone is trying to pull your pants down and get a deal.
its definatly a buyers market like never before.

large cars are not selling per seh, because tax has gone up to ?400 a year and bad mpg figures, everyone wants economy now, so secondhand big cars are suffering, and the people with money can still afford new, so the second hand market is flooded with excetutive stuff.

Oh Ok. Sorry about that guys. I guess the issue was when the GTS was out. Looks like the porsche press release was right after all. Seemed like a ding dong about the dates and like I said, I am not a real fan of porsche so got muddled. My mistake.

cheers and happy motoring all.

Yes thats the final straw why I decided to sell the Volvo I had back into a BMW. THe volvo was 2.5turbo but the CO2 was just a point @256g/km over into the max charge. I figured with all rubbish the volvo turned out to be and to suffer paying yearly for it, I went for the BMW. 3.0cc, twin turbo, big power and nice Co2 emission. BMW got that right .

cheers
