Hi guys,

Ive got my car in the bodyshop ready to have an msport bumper fitted that i purchased off ebay, they have called me today to tell me that one of the pdc mounts are missing from the bumper so they have removed one off my old SE bumper but it doesnt fit!

No problem i thought, just a quick call to the local stealership and i will order one. You can imagine my frustration when I was told that they come attached to the msport bumper and can not be purchased seperatley.

Surely I dont have to buy a whole bumper just for a PDC mount???

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you get round it?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Either you bought a broken bumper or the PDC mount broke while being shipped.

The Msport PDC mounts are integral to the bumper itself - there is not separate PDC mount. Best choice for you would be to have the body shop fabricate a mount which shouldn't be hard if they are good at repairing damaged polyeurothane components. Good luck.

This is a suggestion that is brutal but effective IF the bumper hole is near the same size as the sensor- I used a hot glue gun with glue stick. Position pdc sensor in bumper, tack in, check position then do good amount around sensor till held securely. If you ever need to remove, use a hot soldering iron to melt the glue. Another option- find a smashed, written off bumper in scrappie and buy, remove the part and fix to yours.
